Arbitration and Property Settlement for David

David consulted our office as he was experiencing difficulties negotiating with his ex partner following separation two years prior. David’s ex partner had remained in the home whilst he vacated and the children were also living with her.

After using another law firm for a period in excess of 18 months, letters had been sent but to date no response.  We were able to successfully make contact with the other party and file an application at the Court as the other party refused to respond or negotiate.  Even after bringing court proceedings, the other party still did not participate in the process until approximately three months later whereby the matter was referred to an arbitration and a successful outcome was received on behalf of the client, David.  David was extremely pleased that after initial instructions he was able to progress to arbitration within 8 months and has now had a property settlement and been able to use those funds for the purchase of his own home.

Rafton Family Lawyers have a large amount of experience in arbitrations having conducted many via referrals from the Parramatta Registry of the Federal Circuit Court as well as the Sydney Registry of the Federal Circuit Court.  Please contact us if you would like to discuss your options regarding a property settlement and the use or arbitration in selected matters.
